In this article, I will list out the top skills to learn in Nigeria so you won’t get caught up in the high level of unemployment saga.

According to statistics, about 21.7 million Nigerians are unemployed making skill acquisition more necessary than ever.

I will split this list into two(2) which are IT skills and Vocational skills or Handwork just like we call it in Nigeria, now I will differentiate between Vocational and IT skills below.

What are Vocational skills?

According to study.com Vocational skills are practical or firsthand skills that help a person master a trade or a job. Often, vocational skills can be obtained through hands-on experience on the job.

However, these skills may also be obtained at a vocational school. A vocational school, also called a trade school, provides technical education to prepare people for work in a trade, craft, or profession.

What are IT skills?

Information technology skills are abilities, knowledge, and talents related to the use, administration, development, design, architecture, and management of technology.
